Why not use tool X?
Why not use Facebook groups?
Facebook groups are for online communities and is geared toward discussion. Real world clubs have much more than a discussion to manage.
Why not use Meetup.com or Eventbrite?
They are events platforms. You have to commit to an event, hire the venue, choose a price to charge and sell tickets. That is not what we're trying to do here.
Why not use What's App Communities?
Because it's more time on your phone, at all hours of the day. Especially for the admins. Because they can become online chat spaces, and that causes friction in the club, friction that wouldn't happen if the same conversation was had in person.
What now?
Search for a club, or have a think about the type of club you would like to be in! It doesn't have to be a club that lasts forever, you could just run it for a short time, and if the first idea doesn't work, you could try another.
