You can put a Club Launchpad icon on your phone's home screen. Tapping it opens Club Launchpad full screen, just like an app. You don't need an app store for this. It's the Club Launchpad website, saved to your phone.
Put Club Launchpad on your home screen, so it opens like an app.
To put Club Launchpad on your home screen, install it from Chrome. Installing from Samsung Internet can bring up a Google Play Protect "unsafe app" warning.
Open in ChromeIn Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then Install and create shortcuts, then Install.
It looks like Chrome isn't on this phone. You can:
- Get Chrome free from the Play Store, then open clublaunchpad.com in Chrome and install from there.
- Or, in Samsung Internet, tap the menu, then Add page to, then Home screen.
- Or install from Samsung Internet anyway. If Google Play Protect says "Unsafe app blocked", tap Install anyway. It's safe: the warning is about how Samsung Internet packages websites, not about Club Launchpad.
In Firefox, tap the menu (three dots), then Add app to Home screen.
Tap your browser's menu and look for Install app or Add to Home screen. In Chrome it's Install and create shortcuts, then Install.
In Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up), then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
You're using the Club Launchpad app already.
"Unsafe app blocked"? Read this first
On some Android phones, especially Samsung ones, you may see a message from Google Play Protect saying "Unsafe app blocked" and "This app was built for an older version of Android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections".
Club Launchpad isn't unsafe. The warning comes from the web browser you used, not from us. Some browsers, such as Samsung Internet, wrap the website up in their own way when you install it, and Google's checker doesn't like how they do it.
To avoid the warning:
- Tap OK to close the warning.
- Open the Chrome app on your phone. It has a red, yellow and green circle with a blue middle. Most Android phones already have it. If yours doesn't, you can get it free from the Google Play Store.
- In Chrome, go to clublaunchpad.com.
- Follow the Android steps below.
Would you rather stay in Samsung Internet? Tap the menu button at the bottom of the screen, choose Add page to, then Home screen. This adds a shortcut instead of installing an app, so you won't get the warning.
No Chrome, and the warning won't go away? It's safe to tap Install anyway. Club Launchpad is just our website with an icon, and the warning is only about how the browser packaged it.
Firefox
Tap the menu (three dots), then Add app to Home screen. Firefox doesn't trigger the Play Protect warning.
Android phones and tablets
- Open Club Launchpad in Chrome.
- Tap the menu (three dots, top right).
- Tap Install and create shortcuts, then choose Install (not "Create shortcut"), and confirm. On some phones the menu just says Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Find the Club Launchpad icon on your home screen and tap it. Log in and tick "remember me" so you stay logged in.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Club Launchpad in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open Club Launchpad from the new icon on your Home Screen and log in. You need to log in once here, even if you're already logged in in Safari. Tick "remember me" so you stay logged in.
Getting notifications
Once Club Launchpad is on your phone, it can send you notifications when there's news from your clubs. See getting notifications on your phone.
